Schoolies Week

Gold Coast authorities are considering allowing sniffer dogs to deter drug use during Schoolies Week, it seems.

Well, if they were really trying to deter drug use, they would be doing far more to curb the consumption of the recreational, psychoactive drug ethanol than they have done in the past instead of the Police babysitting the Schoolies while using sniffer dogs to sniff out any 'illicit' drugs only.

We see plenty of pictures on our screen of vomitting youth, brawling youth, anti-social behaviour of all kinds, youth sprawled out unconcious from too much 'alcohol'  in parks, on streets etc. yet people are more aghast and horrified if they hear that someone has been caught with even a small amount of 'illicits' on them.

It's still a case of, "Don't do drugs!" when it comes to any illicit, but, "Enjoy yourself but act responsibly" when it comes to the recreational, psychoactive drug ethanol. Even when they don't act responsibly and abuse their drug of choice, it's still O.K. ...just don't do drugs - illicits only, that is.

That'll be the day

Yahoo 7 news 15th Nov. 2009

A leading health institute has proposed hefty fines for anyone providing booze to children without their parents' consent.

The Australian Drug Foundation chief executive John Rogerson said on Sunday it was still legal in most parts of Australia to provide minors with alcohol on private property.

WHY?  Ethanol is a recreational, psychoactive DRUG and we've all see what it does to adults, let alone children!

"Anyone could give your kid a drink or 10 and not be responsible for the consequences," he said in a statement.

No-one's responsible for adults' negative consequences either. Most just get a 'move along' or 'a slap on the wrist'.

Mr Rogerson wants to see a nationwide ban on the provision of alcohol to children on private property without parental consent.

"It's hard to believe this sort of preventative policy isn't already in place," he said.

"So we're calling on the federal government to take action."

Under the plan, adults could be fined up to $6,000 for providing booze to minors without their parents' permission, the Herald Sun newspaper reports.

That'll be the day! Nothing to do with the drug ethanol is ever followed through on.

Health Minister Nicola Roxon told the newspaper the foundation's proposal would be considered by the Ministerial Council of Drug Strategy.

The ministerial council's recommendations will then be presented to the Council of Australian Governments meeting in December.

Considered, maybe presented, put on the table if presented, then quickly swept off again.

Local Booze - Means the World to Us.

World longboard champion Harley Ingleby returned home to a hero's welcome at Coffs Harbour Airport (photo: The Coffs Coast Advocate, 4/11/09).

What was it that a bunch of drug users, abusers and addicts constantly tout? - Oh, that's right! "No tolerance on drugs in Sport", which includes recreational drug consumption by Sport's people..for some 'reason'.  What else was it? Oh, that's right! It's supposed to not be a good thing to consume drugs in public areas. What else was it? Oh, that's right!  Airport staff and Police molesting people under a supposed, 'Say NO to drugs' message.

Yet this collective of drug takers are standing in an airport public area with children looking at them, advocating the recreational, psychoactive drug ethanol and our local ethanol drug advocate newspaper (they've earned this title) is proud to take this photo and put it in the paper for all to see, while also having the deluded gall to stick a 'Good Sport's Programme'  article promising a safer environment for families by targeting the only real problem that we ever see when it comes to Sport, and that's ethanol drug abuse and ethanol drug pushing on a regular and blatant basis.

Maybe now that people are actually starting to give a damn about the drug ethanol, and its 'pushers' and abusers' dangerous dealing, advocation and consumption policies, then the Police, the Clubs and the 'Good Sport's Programme' which is 'An initiative of the Australian Drug Foundation' can finally get together and apologise profusely about the dangerous, unsafe and all age targeting  drug practices that they have revelled in, in the name of Sport, Politics, Fashion, Parties, and basically anything else you can imagine.  ADF needs to state loud and clear..."Ethanol, Caffeine and Nicotine are recfreational, psychoactive drugs taken and pushed by those including us - the ADF - who tell you to Say NO to drugs!"

Oh yes, regarding the drug and delivery system that has gone hand in hand with ethanol.....

So, the Quit Cafe is back!  Yet another group/ institution that wants to stop people consuming the recreational drug delivery system Cigarettes, yet also seeks to switch people to a new form of the recreational, psychoactive drug Nicotine, while also becoming an advocate and a pusher (just like our Government and Media) for the new Nicotine recreational, psychoactive, toxic drug cartels which in this instance seems to be a Nicabate drug monopoly. 'Nicabate, Nicabate, it's still a psychoactive drug, mate!' and 'Nicorette, Nicorette, it's still a drug, don't forget!"

While Governments, Drug cartels, Media and Health Depts join together in one massive drug- delivery-system-switching campaign which has made damn sure that all the Nicotine drug lord and cartel collectives who used to deal their drugs in pipe tobacco, cigars, cigarettes etc. have now got a new Government and Health Dept. backed drug delivery system, yet no-one is drawing a 'hook' coming out of all these new nicotine drug delivery systems are they?

Just like the recreational, psychoactive drug ethanol has the word drug replaced with the words 'drink'/ 'beverage', the recreational, psychoactive drug nicotine and its new delivery systems has the word drug replaced with the words 'Therapeutic' or 'Therapy'...and it helps if those in positions of Power and influence 'shut their mouth and know their role'.

If people want to give up cigarettes and the nicotine drug addiction, then they should - while being under no delusions, of course. The biggest ones being that 'a drug by any other name is not a drug at all,' and the word 'legal' or the word 'pharmaceutical' does not make drug taking any safer...... Only the Criterias of Harm, Efficacy and Safety can do that.
